Findings

Findings is the general word used for all the 'bits and pieces' you need to make the jewellery.  For example clasps, earwires, jumprings, link locks, headpins and eyepins

Headpins

These are straight metal pieces used for threading beads onto.  Used generally for making earrings and necklaces.  In fact any piece that needs to have something 'dangly'.

They come in varying lengths and compositions ie silver plated, sterling silver, gold or just plain metal.

Eyepins

These are similar to headpins but come with a loop at the end.  These are used for connecting items to each other.

They can be used in more intricate designs especially with earring and necklaces where you want to insert beads onto a chain or create drop earrings.  They look particularly effective on necklaces where you want to create multiple strands of dangly beads.

There are literally hundreds of findings.

Here are just some of the findings you can source.
